Karan Johar called it his favourite performance of Ranveer Singh. Vicky Kaushal, too, praised the film. Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan said that he did not agree with the politics of the film, but praised the storytelling and the performance of the cast. Brooklyn Nine Nine star Terry Crews also gave a shoutout to the film. In Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh plays Hamza, an Indian spy sent to Pakistan to infiltrate a terror network. Set against the backdrop of the IC-814 hijacking in 1999 and the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, the film follows Ajay Sanyal, the Intelligence Bureau Chief as he assigns Hamza a high-risk mission to dismantle the group operating across the border.
